Job opportunity: Economic and Trade Section at the Argentine Embassy
The Argentine Embassy in Canberra is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual with great social skills to cover a position as assistant at the Embassy’s Economic and Trade Section in a pleasant and friendly work environment.
Employment terms and conditions:
- Full time position (Mon-Fri, 9AM to 5 PM)
- Starting late March, early April
- There will be a trial period of 3 months that can be extended and become permanent.
Prerequisites:
- Australian citizenship or residents with a working permit.
- Graduates in economics, business, international trade, law (trade), journalism or related fields.
- Completely proficient in written and oral English language.
- Though not exclusive, knowledge of oral and written Spanish will be considered a valuable asset.
- The candidate should also have:
- Ability to carry out administrative organization tasks in a busy and changing environment.
- Quick learning abilities and adaptability to the use of new computer tools.
Job description requires:
- Database managing and updating.
- Researching, processing and analyzing of economic information.
- Statistics management.
- Coordination of business agendas, permanent engagement with business people and chambers of commerce.
- Assisting and accompanying delegations and Argentine trade missions.
- Management of virtual meetings.
- Drafting of economic reports.
- General administrative tasks.
- Assistance in Embassy activities, including meetings, exhibitions and seminars. These may include travel within Australia and after hours or weekend activities.
- Ability to make presentations and act as Master of Ceremonies in events carried out by the Embassy.
