In the first part of the visit to Australia, the Vice-president and the Delegation that accompanied her, met in Sydney with the authorities of New South Wales.
On Monday, March 20, there was a meeting with the Premier of New South Wales, Hon. Gladis Berejiklian.
Later on, at the Parliament of New South Wales, a luncheon in honour of the Vice President and delegation, was hosted by the President of the Legislative Council, Hon. John Ajaka and the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Hon. Thomas George.
After lunch, the Vice-president and delegation met with the Governor of New South Wales, David Hurley.
In the evening, the delegation delivered a marketing briefing that was hosted by the ALABC ("Australian Latin American Business Council") at the Amora Jamison Hotel. Around 130 guests attended the briefing and then stayed on for a dinner in honour of Vice-president Michetti and her delegation.
This marketing briefing was one of the highlights of the visit because it gathered many of the biggest entrepreneurs. Some of them had not invested in Argentina yet, but they were interested in knowing more about Argentine new economic situation, in order to consider possible future investments.
On Tuesday, March 21, a working breakfast hosted with the support of Austrade, was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Sydney. The Vice-presidente was the guest of honour. The Secretaries of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Pedro Villagra Delgado; of Agriculture, Mr. Ricardo Negri; of Industry, Mr. Martín Etchegoyen; as well as the President of the Argentine Investment and Trade Promotion Agency, Mr. Juan Procaccini; the Chief of Cabinet of the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Ariel Sigal; the Chief of Cabinet of the Secretary of International Economic Relations, Mr. Pablo Quirno; the Ambassador Hugo Javier Gobbi and officials from this Embassy, participated in the meeting as well.
For Australia, authorities from Austrade and The Global Foundation, as well as the CEOs of companies such as Enirgi Group, Lithium Power International, SMEC, Brambles Ltd, SproutX and Didasko Group; and representatives of the Departament of Trade, the Catholic University and Gilbert Tobin law firm, were among the attendees.
